Denny Tedesco, son of the late studio guitar master Tommy Tedesco, made a movie called The Wrecking Crew about the great studio musicians of the sixties who worked in the Los Angeles music studios.
It features studio legends Carol Kaye, Plas Johnson, Hal Blaine, Don Randi and many more. Stars like Cher, Nancy Sinatra, and Micky Dolenz (the Monkees) are featured, too.
The documentary will be shown in March at the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival and at the SXSW in Austin, Texas. In April it will be shown at the Nashville Film Festival. You can find further information on the Wrecking Crew Movie Homepage.

Fabulous movie!!!! It belongs in the Smithsonian……..it IS THE HISTORY of rock & roll in America!! I was a sponsor in the VIP lounge in San DIego, met Denny Tedesco & learned about The Wrecking Crew, but did not have an opportunity to view it. I purchased tickets for the showing at the Mill Valley Film Fest the following week & I am so glad tht I did!!! PLEASE distribute this movie….offer the DVD & soundtrack too!!!!!!

This fabulous documentary film brought back so many wonderful memories…I spent most of the sixties and seventies singing next to these guys in the studios all over LA – Watching The Wrecking Crew was in a way, like seeing my own life pass before my eyes – these guys were amazing, and what FUN and what a privilege to have worked with them during those exciting years.
