Eddie Holland was the lyricist in the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting team, while his younger brother Brian and Lamont Dozier composed the music and produced the songs. The trio is responsible for Motown hits like “Baby Love”, “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)”, “You Can’t Hurry Love”, and “Reach Out I’ll Be There”.
Eddie Holland started at Motown as a demo singer and writer. He had a short career as singer, but he didn’t feel comfortable performing. So he was happy working in the background.
